To your left is a picture of me playing for Bellport; we had a 7-2 season and began the great football tradition that remains strong today.

"Living large" as I enjoyed my undergraduate years at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. Here, I pose with my step-father, Wolfgang Schmidt while he visited me the week of my graduation in 1984.

On the right, my first teaching job, high school social studies at Burlington High School in Burlington, Kansas. I had so much fun, and I learned a lot about Madeline Hunter's Clinical Teaching Method of Instruction. It was at Burlington where I learned the value of professional development.

Notice the difference between the above left picture and the above right. On the left, you can see me around 2006, and on the right circa 1986.

Can you believe that I have a 220 pound baby. Yes, it is true. My son is 26, and these days I have Mudge, my Old English Mastiff, who enjoys taking naps with me. He is the biggest "lapdog" I know.

To the left, my mom, enjoying the backyard,  and to the right, Wolfgang, my step-father.

I am so proud to have a son who has the skill to work as an accountant, and yet, he is determined to protect us as he serves in the U.S. Marines in the Reserve as has been seen on the left. To the right, Omero's step-mother, Arlene enjoying a day at home.

My daughter, Rebekah and her husband, Brian, at the home in Moriches.  I am somewhat uneasy about Rebekah living in Virginia. However, I realize that she is free to live wherever she desires. The  tremendous disadvantage is the fact that I will not be able to see my granddaughter, Raelyn. I will just have to make an effort to see them more often in Virginia.  Rebekah is a Nurse and she is happy with her career presently.

Above is a picture of my brother, Wayne and my sister-in-law, Jessica. Below you will notice their two children, Nico and Francesca.

Here it is, my dreamhouse. I am paying high taxes in Moriches, but it is everything I have ever wanted. I am also blesed to have my mother and my step-father living on the right side of the home as they enjoy the twighlight years.

Compare these two pictures of the Catan Siblings. I am very proud of us. Despite such dysfunction in the home of an abusive alcoholic father, and the horrendous experience as a child constantly on the move during our childhood, my sister, Antonetta Mattern, is a CPA Accountant, my Brother, Wayne Catan, is a publicist for a well-renown firm in New Jersey. I am certainly blessed thus far as an high school assistant principal for the Central Islip public school district.  I look forward to honing my skills as an educational leader and expand my talents so that I may have an even greater impact upon the lives of my students in Central Islip.

My grand-daughter is so cute. I do feel like Forest Gump in his movie as both of us are watching TV with our heads tilted.

The left picture you can see me with Tammycha, Nyrka, and James on the roof pool in a hotel in Puerto Rico. The right picture contains Nico and Francesca on the left who are Wayne's children, and on the right you can see Sophia and Nicholas, who are Antonetta's children.

Wow!! What "posers." The left picture you can see my two nieces, Tammycha and Nyrka ; my nephew is James. The right picture contains my nieces Nyrka and Kiara.

Look how beautiful: yes, my wife is gorgeous, but I was also referring to my boy, Mudge.  Can you believe how affectionate he is for such a big dog. At over 220  pounds, Mudge really believes he is a lapdog. He is just kissing and hugging all day long.

I felt so  proud and content as I lay on my favorite chair with my Grand-daughter, Raelyn, here around a year old. My daughter, Rebekah does such a great job as her mommy. Rebekah works as a nurse and cares for her family as well; she is taking on the proverbial role of supermom.

Above left and center are pictures of Arlene and, to the right is her brother, Jimmy with his wife, Diana and their daughter, Nyrka.

Arlene is so pretty, Even though I am happy she keeps her hair long, it would not matter how she styles her hair or her attire, she appears so pretty in every picture.

Here you go! There you see Arlene with Mamala in Puerto Rico. To the right are "mis suegros," who make their home in Dorado, Puerto Rico.

Arlene and I are so happy to take a break, here in Mexico, when the airfare is cheap during the summer.

My first baby picture on my mother's lap, my brother, Wayne is on the left. I am smiling on the right side of the picture.
